The publishers of this site have acquired all the necessary rights and permissions to use material contained in the number one bestselling autobiography of the late Lenny McLean aka 'THE GUVNOR'.

‘The project’ , subject to funding, will either be a full-length feature film made cinematographically for cinema or an in-depth series for Television covering the entire history of how The Guv'nor on the streets was created, what it stands for and means to various individuals.

Furthermore, Gary Shaw, the son of the belated pretty boy Roy Shaw, who was The Guv'nor before Lenny, has also provided his blessing for his dads’ stories to be told.

Whilst also utilising the stories of the belated Joey Pyle Snr (founder of the meaning of word ‘Guvnor’ on the streets) via his son Joey Pyle Jnr everything and everyone links together perfectly providing decades of an ongoing changing social development of London.

We have at our exclusive disposal the entire contents of the Guv'nor, creating a period drama spanning the fifties through to the nineties.

It will tell a story involving mental health, domestic violence, bullying and its consequences. It will tell a story of the underworld which allowed bare knuckle fighting to blossom. It will tell a story of love and redemption. It will tell the stories of compelling human drama which appeals to young and old, male, and female alike.

A story like no other, told with passion and heart string pulling moments that will resonate with audiences of all ages.

CONTENT

The age gap between Roy shaw & Lenny McLean was 12 years. Although they knew the same people their lives remained separate from each other’s but were unknowingly similar due to both having been victims of bullying from an early age, Roy at school and Lenny at home.

They first met when Lenny learnt of Roy’s title being the Guvnor and a fight between them was soon forthcoming.

We follow the journey of their parallel lives. Roy was involved in hardcore violence and murder, he served time in prison and Broadmoor. Lenny was known more as a hard man and protector.

Their common denominator was London gangland and crime boss joey Pyle whom which we focus on as a permanent thread in both Roy’s and Lenny’s lives.
